Is the stool collection device flushable?

Yes. The materials used in the Raku-Ryu Cup conform to the EDANA flushability guidelines, a European industry standard for flushable nonwoven products.

These guidelines include testing for:

  • Disintegration: The ability of the material to break apart in water after flushing.

  • Biodegradability: The ability of the material to biodegrade over time.

The Raku-Ryu Cup materials meet these requirements and are designed to break down following flushing.

Is the stool collection device safe for septic tanks?

The Raku-Ryu Cup is designed for flushing and is considered suitable for normal household use. However, septic systems can vary considerably in size, age, maintenance requirements and bacterial activity. For this reason, we cannot guarantee compatibility with every individual septic system.

If you use a septic tank, we recommend following the advice provided by your septic system manufacturer or maintenance provider before flushing the device.

Is the device biodegradable?

Yes. The materials used in the Raku-Ryu Cup meet the biodegradability requirements outlined in the EDANA flushability guidelines.

This means the device is designed to disintegrate in water after flushing and biodegrade over time.
