Taking a sample: When should I return my sample?

Collection and return instructions may differ depending on the kit type and region, so it’s important to follow the guidance specific to the test being completed.

If a sample is posted on a non-recommended day, there is a chance it may not reach our laboratory within the required timeframe.
​

Once the sample arrives, it will go through our standard quality control checks. If the laboratory determines that the sample has expired and cannot be processed, we’ll contact the patient directly with the next steps.
​

The first replacement kit will be provided free of charge. If further replacements are required due to samples being returned outside the recommended collection and postage guidelines, a $50 replacement fee may apply.
