Is there an analysis correlating the microbiomes genetic potential to produce LPS (e.g., Microbiome Explorer detecting high levels of LPS-producing microbes) and measuring actual LPS levels to confirm?

At present, no reliable correlation has been established.

Many bacteria in the gut encode the genes to produce hexa-LPS (lipopolysaccharide).
The most common way of measuring LPS in stool is the limulus assay, but this method does not distinguish between hexa-LPS (inflammatory form) and under-acylated LPS (less inflammatory).
Because of this limitation, current research cannot confirm whether a high predicted potential for LPS production directly translates to higher stool LPS levels.
