Will I receive a copy of my report once it's released?

Reports are released directly to the referring practitioners secure portal.

The best way to review and understand your results is with your referring practitioner. Once they have received your report, they can share both the interactive virtual report and the PDF pathology report with you directly from their portal, explain the findings, and answer any questions you may have.

As Microbiome Explorer is a practitioner referred pathology test, standard pathology protocols apply. Reports are released to the referring practitioner 7 days before patients are notified, allowing time for clinical review and discussion. You will receive a notification 7 days after your report has been released to your practitioner.

If you would like a copy of your report after this notification, you have several options:

  • Contact your referring practitioner. They can share both the virtual report and PDF pathology report with you directly from their portal.

  • Submit a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR). Our Customer Support team can arrange this on your behalf. Requests are reviewed by our Clinical Team and are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days.

  • Transfer your report to another registered healthcare practitioner. If you would prefer another practitioner to receive your results, please contact Customer Support with their full name, practice details, and email address.

For patient safety and in line with pathology best practice, Microba is unable to release reports directly to patients during the initial 7 day clinical review period.
